Proposal: Urban Gardening

For this proposal, gather a watering can and fill it with water. Go to your closest center of urban commerce and find objects that need water. Begin with a telephone pole, then try a post box. Once you have emptied the watering can your task is complete. It is suggested that you do not attempt this on a rainy day as overwatering may spoil your good intentions.

Proposal: Shopping Cart Stroll

Visit your local grocery store and take out a shopping cart. Make sure the wheels don’t squeak and that the stability of the cart’s turning is in order. Experience the freedom of pushing a cart around the store with no agenda, and no excess groceries to weigh you down. Do not purchase anything– you must be resolved to enjoy this as an experience, not as an errand.

Proposal: The Tyrrany of the Fork is Over

You now have no need for cutlery. If you cannot eat it with your hands, you are no longer interested. A straw should still be acceptable, but you don’t really need it, do you?

Refuse to accept small denominations of currency. Reject them as inconsequential. Start with pennies, work your way up.

Proposal: Personalized Grocery Shopping

When in a grocery store, ask one of the stock-persons what item they recommend for the informed consumer. If they seem hesitant to make a recommendation, tell them about your self and explain your current mood. If you do not find their suggestion satisfactory, ask for a second opinion.

Proposal: Manifest Destiny Dining

When you are dining with a friend or new acquaintance, slowly push your silverware, napkins, and plates outward, expanding your borders. Once territorial dominance has been established, continue dining at your leisure. Do not cede territory to shared appetizers or bread baskets.

Proposal: Steam Cleaner

When you are in a clothing store, ask a salesperson to steam your clothes with the in-store clothing steamer. Offer them loose change or a clothing item on your person if they refuse initially.
